Hosted in Manchester, the Muslim Lifestyle Expo is one of the world’s leading Muslim lifestyle events, showcasing the best of Muslim talent and entrepreneurship from around the world.
For the third year running, the Siddiqa Juma team ventured to the North to join a host of other artists in the Islamic Art gallery.
At the expo, Siddiqa launched one of her latest pieces, Qiblah 2018. Building on the main theme of her work, the Holy Kaabah, Qiblah 2018 seeks to explore not just the physical direction of the qiblah, but the moral compass which resides within all of us, guiding us to the greater good.
It was also an excellent opportunity to connect with artists such as Safe Adam - the brilliant nasheed singer who came over to talk to me about my career and work, and to meet with other renowned artists who were also exhibiting, such as Maryam Golubeva, Teakster, Ian Garret, Emanza Art and others.
There is always a family feel at MLE and this year was no exception. Special thanks to Raheel, Tahir and the MLE team as well as ArtHouse 21. However, by far the greatest thanks must go to everyone who came from all over the country to say salaam and hello. The privilege was ours.

With coaches arrived arriving from all areas of the UK and Europe, the annual Muslim Shopping Festival was brimming with an amazing diversity of people who came to shop from some incredible, muslim-owned businesses.
First, HAPPY NEW YEAR! I pray you are all settling in well to 2018, God-willing.This blog post hopefully brings you some good news.... Over the years, I have been very fortunate to have met people who are interested in my work for their own private collections.
